Spirit Week and Homecoming is an exciting time for all of Wilcox County Schools each Fall. All of the week’s activities, such as dressing up for different themes each day at school and the Homecoming parade, come to an end with an exciting football game and the Homecoming Court at halftime. WCHS students vote for the Homecoming Court each year and select the Homecoming King and Queen.
This year’s court was represented by the following students:
Freshmen Sweethearts – Tylana Daniels and Hannah Sutton
Sophomore Sweethearts – Ja-Merical Marshall and Maggie Shedd
Junior Sweethearts – Marteisha Griggin and Destiny Howard
Seniors – Autumn Anderson, Summer Ellis, Megan Fuller, Michelle Fuller, Abigail Harden, Alexus Howard, Haley Howell, Jasmine Tisdol, and Autumn Tripp.
Alexus Howard was announced as the 2016 Homecoming Queen to a thunderous ovation. Larry Pierce was also announced as the 2016 Homecoming King.
Congratulations to the king and queen as well as all of the students that make Homecoming week such a memorable experience!
